Before Buying Football Kit for your Team

The cost of buying kit for players and substitutes can add up to a substantial amount of money, and it is well worth considering some of the options available to try and reduce the cost.

Buying in bulk is one option well worth considering, and, if shopping on the internet, you will find that there are a number of wholesale suppliers offering substantial discounts on team kits. Some of them have special offers which may mean they will include extras such as training kits as part of the deal. Certain suppliers will also offer free sponsorship logos. If you decide to go down this route, it may well be worth contacting other teams in your area to see whether it is worth combining with their order, in order to create a club group which may be able to achieve greater discounts for buying a number of football kits.

Before ordering any kit, you will need to decide on simple things like design. For instance, does the team prefer long or short sleeves? You may need to discuss the type of materials available in case anyone is not able to wear a particular type of fabric. You will also need to know what sizes are likely to be required. At the beginning you must know your budget - and stick to it. It is not a good idea to try and stretch the funds a bit further and find that the club is out of pocket for other things.

Another thing you will need to decide is whether to buy branded equipment, which is likely to be better quality, and may wash better than non-branded material. The shirts must be made of a fabric which is light, and perhaps able to draw sweat away from the body, although these may be more expensive. Bear in mind the method used when washing your kit. Will the team be washing the kit themselves, and if not; do you need to choose a kit which can only be washed a certain way?
