New Season, New Football Kits

It is that time of year when all the Premier league football teams release their new football team kits. As is always the case this causes much chatter in the media about colourways, and styling.

Looking at the new Manchester United Red football team kits, you can see that they are as stylish as ever and something that will be in usual high demand. Other leading premiership contenders Chelsea have new Blue football team kits and Arsenal, as with Manchester United have red football team kits. This always begs the question as to why football teams decide upon releasing weird and wonderful colourways for their new football team kits. Take Newcastle United, this season they have gone for the quite striking, but rather unusual choice of bright yellow striped football team kits. Will this be a hit with the fans? Who knows. It certainly caused a stir in the media – as it featured on the back page of the Sun newspaper as a fashion disaster!

All of this brought back memories of other strange and wayward football team kits that have been released over the years. Who can forget the Manchester United away Football team kits that was a bland grey? The infamous gray kit was blamed for a defeat against Southampton. Also, remember the very bizarre Manchester City Purple away football team kits? Ultimately, it’s not the football team kits that the players wear but their ability that makes the difference!
